在銀河映像的框架下，大事件是一部有里程碑意義的實驗電影。首先本片有鮮明的杜琪峰色彩：小隊之間的兄弟情誼，警隊部門間的沖突（這兩點和PTU類似）；內(nèi)地悍匪（21世紀大圈幫）的宿命與溫情，激烈的槍戰(zhàn)。但杜導(dǎo)也有嘗試創(chuàng)新，片頭讓人津津樂道的八分鐘長鏡頭，陳慧琳最后的結(jié)局，都是以前鮮見的。

前邊實在可愛，結(jié)局太巧克力甜得發(fā)膩

脫離了《閃靈》的風(fēng)格，完全是當代商業(yè)恐怖片的拍法，對觀眾也更友好一些（雖然三個小時實在有些長）。完全可以當作單獨的一部電影來看待，最后回到全景酒店那段倒是復(fù)刻很多《閃靈》的經(jīng)典場景。
